When a man is serious about a woman and wants a more long term relationship with her, he will not be in a hurry to get into a physical relationship with her. He would much rather nurture their relationship and prolong the excitement of waiting for what is the ultimate closeness between a man and a woman. If a man rushes a woman into this it shows clearly that this is probably his only interest and he will soon move on to greener pastures. Men who fall in love are more than willing to wait and will take the trouble to protect and create a more romantic aura around this whole relationship. They do not want to spoil anything by rushing things. Though it may seem to the woman that he cannot wait to unite with her, there is no doubt this is only a kind of lust and physical attraction and not something which will carry them through a life time.
A man shows his love by committing himself to the woman he loves and does not hesitate to do this. When he is in love this is the only thing in his mind and he wants to make sure that the woman he loves is made as secure as possible in every sense of the word. This is not something that can be forced on a person, love is a feeling which has to come naturally and it has to grow within the person before it blooms into a full blown sensation which envelopes the person completely. There are no doubts left in the man and he is sure of what he feels for the woman in his life. When there are doubts then it cannot be love but a transition period wherein he may snap out of it without making a commitment finally.
If a man does not make a commitment, it means that he may still want to look around, and is not sure of his feelings as yet. There is no point in forcing the issue because love is something you cannot force people to feel, it has to come naturally. If a man is forced into a commitment the marriage may not last for long. A woman sometimes has to work at making the man completely enamored with her and has to win him over with her love for him. Men are generally looking for someone to care for them and if the woman is caring he will automatically get hooked onto her.
Apart from commitment a man will show respect for the woman he loves and cherish her. He will not expose her to dangers or to things which may cause her harm, instead he will almost be her knight in shining armor. In today's world women are more than capable of taking care of themselves, but a man in love will worry about his woman and always want to make sure that all is well with her.
